In these desperate times, we reached out to ask for your support. COVID-19 struck at a crucial time in Rostra Gallery's 23 year journey but with your help, we were determined not to lose the business.
We started a Crowdfunder campaign in May 2020 to help us raise £8,000 to cover the unavoidable overheads and bills that must still be paid whilst we are unable to exhibit or sell our artists’ works in person.
With your immense support and generosity we raised just over £9,000!
This money will go towards insurance, artist works storage (a gallery cost never passed along to artists), bills, art fairs fees and exhibition costs (already committed to for 2020 with the intention of showcasing our artists) plus website management and updates to make sure we're maintaining our online presence and keeping our artists in the public forum.
Your invaluable support means we will make it through this challenging time. And by helping us you have helped the many artists and suppliers we support, many of whom are struggling financially at the moment. (We are currently supporting around 100 artists both locally and nationally.)
